The Sales Account Manager, based in Italy, plays a crucial role in building a well spread and solid dealer network, orchestrating, and executing B2B sales within the Italian territory. This position involves overseeing and coordinating daily sales operations, as well as providing essential support, training, and guidance to our network of dealers. Reporting to the Commercial Director of GP Products, who is based in the Netherlands, the Sales Account Manager is integral to driving successful sales outcomes and maintaining strong relationships within the market.


  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales or sales management.
  • Higher education background.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is advantageous; however, a genuine passion for cars is a non-negotiable requirement.
  • Possessing a comprehensive automotive network is an asset in this role.
  • Ability to cultivate robust relationships with the dealer network.
  • Proficient understanding of financial metrics for effective control of sales budgets.
  • Demonstrated high commitment to the brand, products, dealers, employer, and international colleagues.
  • Proactive and self-reliant, capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel efficiently within the designated territory and occasionally to the head office in the Netherlands.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a definite advantage.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License (B).


  • Achieve the Italian sales budget in both volume and value, while adhering to margin structures and product mix considerations.
  • Take charge of day-to-day sales operations, actively engaging in visits and sales activities across the Italian territory.
  • Establish and structure an efficient Italian dealer network.
  • Oversee and enhance the sales performance of dealers.
  • Innovate by initiating creative projects aimed at motivating and energizing the dealer network to boost sales.
  • Formulate and present sales promotion plans to bolster the attainment of sales targets.
  • Monitor the financial standing of dealers and identify opportunities for their growth.
  • Provide education to dealers on products and installation methods, ensuring comprehensive product knowledge.


  • Attainment of revenue and margin targets in the region.
  • Achievement of a well-balanced product mix within the region.
  • Evaluation and enhancement of the size and strength of the dealer network.
  • Successful implementation of brand and product introductions.
  • Strengthening GP Products brand awareness in the Italian territory.
